BILLIONAIRE OF RUSSIA LOSED $ 8.8 BILLION DUE TO DOWN MARKETS

Russian billionaires are impoverished by $ 8.81 billion due to the weakening ruble in the market after Russia exited the OPEC + deal. Their losses were calculated by Forbes magazine. The co-owners of the Lukoil oil company, Vagit Alekperov F 3 and Leonid Fedun, suffered most from the dive of oil quotes and the ruble exchange rate. According to the publication’s estimates, their losses amounted to about $ 3 billion. The fortune of the head of Norilsk Nickel Vladimir Potanin, whose wealth is estimated at $ 25.9 billion, also decreased by $ 613 million. In addition, the fluctuation of the financial market was reflected in the beneficiaries of Novatek Leonid Michelson (lost $ 607 million) and Gennady Timchenko ($ 594 million in damage). The magazine notes that the only one in the top ten Russian billionaires who did not lose or even increase their fortune was Suleiman Kerimov, whose family controls the largest gold miner in Russia – Polyus.
